The next SGFF meeting will be at 6:30 pm at the chamber of commerce building on July 3rd. Our speaker will again be the inimitable Kevin Hutchison. Kevin will give a program on the San Marcos River and will also tie a red squirrel nymph, one of his favorite flies on that river. Club officers for the coming year will be introduced at the meeting and the board of directors will present some minor changes that have been proposed for the club bylaws.

Clint Barton reports that fly tiers are invited to tie at the library on Wednesday, July 11th at 6 pm. Bring a box of fur, feathers and steel and join the fun.

The event scheduled at San Gabriel Park for the 4th of July has been canceled. Bob Bruner says too many members had other plans for the holiday.

The Fredericksburg Fly Fishers are planning the 4th annual Octoberfisch for October 19th- 21st at Morgan Shady Park on the South Llano River at Junction. This is a big event offering casting lessons (beginners and advanced), educational programs, kayak and canoe shuttles, vendors booths, and a rib eye steak dinner on Saturday.
