The parking area is located on the north side of the South San Gabriel, on the west side of Ronald Reagan Blvd. It is an asphalt drive located at the end of the guard rail. Access to the river is down the obvious bank where rock has been placed to prevent erosion. The river starts wide and shallow here, and develops fast runs and deep pools as you head upstream or down. Wading is generally easy both directions.
