San Gabriel River at Inner Loop Road

Links

Description

Georgetown's Inner Loop road crosses the San Gabriel River east of Georgetown. This crossing is about 1.3 river miles downstream from San Gabriel Park and about 5.8 river miles upstream from Mankin's Crossing where Highway 29 crosses the river. Near the bridge where Inner Loop crosses the river there is a rough track you can use to drive down to the river. The entrance to this track is on the north side of the bridge and the east side of the road, near the north end of the bridge's guardrail. The track runs parallel to the road for about a quarter mile and ends at the river, directly under the bridge. This track is just some rutted tire tracks created by people driving on the grass down to the river; it is uneven and can be quite muddy and slippery when wet.

The river at this crossing is wadable, both upstream an downstream, during periods of normal flow.
