Description

There is a small, approximately 18 acres, pond in "Old Settlers Park at Palm Valley" on the north west side of Round Rock. This lake is known as either Old Settlers Pond or Brite Lake. There is good access for bank fishing, with room to backcast. There is no launch ramp, but the parking lot is quite close to the lake and launching a canoe or kayak is no problem. While I was fishing there one day in my kick boat, a bank fisherman told me that he had heard that using floatation was against the rules, but that same person said that he had frequently seen canoes and kayaks on the lake, and there aren’t any no-boating signs.
